MUMA Laboratory
The MUMA Laboratory is a creative space within the Mirabassi Family Puppets Museum, dedicated to expressive activities, hands-on creativity, and the discovery of the world of puppet theatre.
This space is designed for educational activities, such as theatre workshops and the construction and animation of hand puppets and marionettes.

- I partecipanti possono imparare a creare il proprio burattino, scegliendo tra diversi materiali come stoffa, legno, cartapesta e fili.
- I laboratori sono pensati per stimolare la creatività, con l’assistenza di esperti che spiegano tecniche di base e segreti del mestiere.
Tecniche di manipolazione
- Gli esperti del museo insegnano a “dare vita” ai burattini, mostrando i principi base della manipolazione e i segreti per creare movimenti fluidi e realistici.
- Viene approfondita anche l’arte della narrazione attraverso la voce e i gesti.
Thematic Workshops and Educational Activities
Puppet-making workshops are offered to promote the creative reuse of waste materials, raising awareness among participants about the importance of recycling and eco-sustainability.
Throughout the year, the following activities are organized:
- animated tours for schools and families
- weekly afternoon theatre workshops for children, divided by age group (4–6 years, 7–10 years)
- puppet and marionette-making workshops for schools. Customized educational programs can be booked, including both a museum visit and hands-on activities in the workshop.
Events and Workshops for Adults
In addition to children’s workshops, advanced courses are organized for adults interested in exploring puppet-making and animation techniques in greater depth — ideal for artists, teachers, and enthusiasts.
